Lead faculty and coach for the Rutgers Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program. This nationally recognized fellowship program includes curriculum and opportunities designed to empower school nurses and their community/administrative partners to become leaders within their community’s educational and health services teams to improve student health practices.

Background:
Martha has a Doctorate in Nursing Science, is a nationally certified school nurse and a nationally certified advanced public health nurse. Martha is a graduated from Penn State University and started her career at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, the National Association of School Nurses and the American School Health Association.
Her areas of expertise include leadership, population health, school nurse sensitive outcome indicators, and informatics and she is published and a frequent national speaker on these issues. She is currently the Director of Advanced Population Health, Health Systems Leadership and Informatics at the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Nursing where she teaches health promotion behavior interventions and evidence based practice to doctoral students. She is also a faculty member and a coach for the Rutgers Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Program where she teaches population health, school nursing, evidence-based practice, leadership and change management as part of an interprofessional faculty team.
